WOCDC

Calling all art enthusiasts! The Womxn of Colour Durham Collective (WOCDC) is proud to announce our partnership with The Robert McLaughlin Gallery (RMG).

The RMG is a public art museum in Oshawa and is the largest gallery in all of Durham Region. The Gallery is a vibrant and engaging space that is dedicated to making art, and artists, more accessible to the minds and hearts of Durham Region residents.

RMG’s vision is for Durham Region to flourish through arts, culture, community connection and resilience. This is something that really resonates with us, and so, we couldn’t be more excited to be partnering with the RMG to create and present an exhibition in 2022, inspired by our ongoing HUE photo series!

The main goal of this collaborative project is to showcase the connections - and disconnections - that Black, Indigenous and self-identified Womxn of Colour (BIWoC) experience in various spaces within Durham Region. Highlighting our commitment to center their voices, this collaboration is built on our shared passion to promote the stories of our community through art.
